This policy covers the Easy Paint Pro app for Mac and the website easypaintpro.com. “We” and “us” mean Easy Paint Pro, an independent developer in the United States (show owner details). We are responsible for (the controller of) the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form.

The app

• Your artwork stays on your Mac. Pictures, layers, history, recordings, workspaces and exports are created and stored on your device. We never receive them.
• No screen recording. Easy Paint Pro does not record your screen, its own windows, other apps, your microphone or what you type, and it never asks for macOS Screen Recording or microphone permission. The Record button (Canvas Recording) saves only the changes you make to the picture in the current tab, such as brush strokes, shapes, fills and layer changes, so you can replay them or export them as a video or GIF. These recordings are kept on your Mac in the app’s own storage, which you can clear in Settings ▸ Replay & Recording, and in any file you choose to save or export. They are never uploaded, and we don’t receive, use or share them.
• No account, no tracking. The app has no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics, and it doesn’t track you across apps or websites.
• Settings. Preferences such as your chosen skin and toolbar layout are stored locally on your Mac.
• Trial. The website version records when your trial started on your Mac (in the macOS Keychain), so reinstalling doesn’t restart it. Nothing about the trial is sent to us.
• License activation. When you enter a license key, the app sends the key, an anonymous identifier for this Mac (a one-way scrambled code made from the Mac’s hardware ID, not its name or serial number) and the app version to our license server, which runs on Google Firebase. The server stores them so your license works on 1 Mac. About every two weeks, when you’re online, the app checks the license again the same way. Choosing Deactivate This Mac removes this Mac from your license.
• Updates. The website version checks easypaintpro.com for new versions. That request includes the app version and your macOS version, and like any web request it reveals your IP address to the website host. The app and its updates are downloaded from GitHub, which hosts our releases. We don’t use any of this to identify you.
• Mac App Store version. Purchases and trials in the App Store version are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. We don’t receive your payment details.

Purchases on this website

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details under Paddle’s privacy policy.

We receive your name, email address, country, order number and the license key issued to you. Right after checkout, the thank-you page fetches your key from our license server using your order number, which stays in your browser tab. We email you the key through Resend, our email delivery provider. We use them to deliver your license, provide support and process refunds (to carry out our agreement with you), and to keep the records tax and accounting law requires. We never receive your full card number.

This website

• The site doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
• Paddle’s checkout loads only when you choose Buy now. From then on, Paddle’s privacy policy covers what it collects, including any cookies it needs for payment and fraud prevention.
• It’s hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may record visitors’ IP addresses for security; see GitHub’s privacy statement.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads; see Google’s privacy policy.

Contact form

Messages you send through our contact form are delivered to us by Web3Forms. They include the name, email address and message you enter, and for license enquiries your organization and number of Macs. We use them only to reply to you and keep them only as long as needed for that conversation.

Who we share it with, and for how long

• Only the service providers named on this page (Paddle, Google Firebase, Resend, GitHub, Web3Forms and Google Fonts), professional advisers such as an accountant, and authorities where the law requires it.
• We keep order and license records while your license is in use and for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and contact messages only as long as the conversation needs.
• We protect the information we hold with access controls and encrypted connections.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact form. We may need to keep order records where the law requires it.
• We don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising.
• Easy Paint Pro is suitable for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children; purchases are made by an adult through Paddle.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
